Breakthrough Scriptures
God, being the loving and generous Father He is, wants the best for us. He’s an over-the-top God, especially when it comes to His children. Scripture tells us that when David became king, he was immediately challenged by Israel’s longtime enemy, the Philistines. So he went to God for direction—and did God stand by and wait to see how things would play out, hoping His people would get by? Not according to David’s account! ‘“The LORD did it!’ David exclaimed.
‘He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!’” (2 Samuel 5:20).
To honor God’s intervention and overwhelming victory that day, David named the place Baal-perazim, which means “Lord of breaking through.”
What is it that you’re needing your “Lord of the Breakthrough” to show up and do on your behalf?
